Paul Williams | President
Paul brings over 10 years of Web, technology and project management experience to 1/0. Paul's combined technology and finance background guides the 1/0 team in developing focused business driven Web solutions for our clients. Paul spearheads business development and day-to-day operations at 1/0.
Prior to joining 1/0 in October 2001, Paul led the production and development of e-business websites and online marketing campaigns for Zentropy Partners, a subsidiary of McCann-Erickson WorldGroup. Throughout his career, Paul has consulted, managed and implemented over 150 Web sites and technology projects for clients including Coca-Cola, AT&T, Compaq, Citibank, Dun & Bradstreet and Johnson & Johnson.
Paul received an MBA from Fordham University in Finance and Accounting (Beta Gamma Sigma & Omicron Delta Epsilon) and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a BA in Politics & Government. Under a graduate assistantship, he developed the Fordham University Business School Web site, a project that sparked his interest Web development and technology.
Paul was born, raised and continues to make his home in New York City.
John Running | Executive V.P. & Chief Information Officer
John Running, founder, Exec. V.P.and CIO of 1/0 Tech, is responsible for leading the technical development team in delivering effective and innovative Web solutions for 1/0 Tech's clients. He founded 1/0 Tech on the belief that Web technology, if implemented correctly, can transform a client's business. He proved his success with the development of the Junior's Cheesecake Web site.
In developing the Junior's Ecommerce site, John leveraged ASP and Linear Algebra to develop and trademark the innovative Ever Present Shopping Cart. The result is a cart that is easy and convenient to use for low bandwidth users, while simultaneously being robust enough to handle the high traffic demands of the Web site. He continues to provide innovative solutions for all of our clients.
Previously, John was a Web Development Team Leader at Yahoo/HotJobs. Leading a team of over 20 developers, John implemented the latest version of www.hotjobs.com and helped integrate the site into Yahoo's code base. Prior to HotJobs, John led the Quality Assurance department at Zentropy Partners. His breadth of experience enables him to understand the full development cycle of any project.
John graduated from McGill University in Canada with a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering and a BA in Philosophy.
Greg Decos | Vice President, Development
Greg manages the development team at 1/0 on a day-to-day basis. Greg is responsible for setting standards, code reviews and overall development practices at 1/0.
Greg was a senior developer for eight years at global investment bank Merrill Lynch. Greg developed and supported applications in most systems in use at Merrill, including Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, .Net, Websphere MQ. While at Merril Lynch, Greg led the development of countless projects for U.S.-based and off-shore developers.
Greg holds an M.S., Computer Science, from Stevens Institute of Technology, and a B.S., Computer Science, from Rutgers University.
Kevin Stengle | Director of Development
Kevin joined 1/0 as Director of Development and is responsible for evaluating, designing and implementing solutions for clients. In addition to programming, Kevin leads the information architecture discipline for 1/0.
Previously, Kevin implemented successful programming solutions at Merrill Lynch, Bernard Hodes Group, Zentropy Partners, and Information Management Consultants. At Merrill Lynch, Kevin worked with systems involving SWIFT messaging as well as Corporate Actions.
Kevin's experience includes .NET 2.0 (using both C# and Visual Basic), XML, XSLT, SQL Server, Transact SQL, Oracle, and PL/SQL. Kevin, a certified Ektron developer, has implemented Ektron on numerous websites including MiravalResort.com, SpecialOlympics.org and Jawbone.com.
Kevin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Economics.
Michael de la Pena | Director of Flash Development
Michael de la Pena has been working in the fields of advertising, communication and education for over 18 years, with experience in journalism, educational publishing, multimedia, and software development. Michael is particularly experienced in programming for web applications, games, simulations, and software localization and internationalization, using Macromedia Flash. Besides his long experience developing online applications with Flash, Michael brings a wealth of usability, content development and implementation knowledge to 1/0, for a variety of platforms and development tools.
For the last five years, Michael has worked on a variety of demanding projects, creating many educational simulations for MaMaMedia, inc, on behalf of SEED, a non-profit community development program, sponsored by Schlumberger, Ltd. Michael also developed a number of simulations for the World Wide Workshop foundation for their MyGlife project, as well as developing (with ADM Productions, Inc.) the graphics software and animations used for ABC Television's annual Primetime Upfront show, for the past four years. Prior to this, Michael worked for a variety of major publishing and communications companies, including, Zentropy Partners, a subsidiary of McCann-Erickson WorldGroup, Scholastic Software, a subsidiary of, Scholastic, Inc, MacMillan/McGraw Hill, a division of the Educational and Professional Publishing Group of The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc, as well as the Houghton Mifflin Company.
Michael received a BA in History from Brandies University in 1986. Michael was born in Brooklyn, New York , but has spent many years in Northern Ohio and Boston, Massachusetts before returning to Brooklyn for good in, 1996.
Ned Watson - Sr. Front-End Engineer
Ned is responsible for all front end development for 1/0. He leads a team of CSS and JavaScript developers responsible for the user interfaces for all of 1/0's Web sites and applications.
Ned has developed user interfaces for major media companies such as MTV, BET and Rodale Publishing prior to joining 1/0. He started developing simple websites in 1994 and enjoys the challenges of providing a quality user experience. He is an expert in CSS/XHTML/HTML/JavaScript and JQuery.
Ned graduated from the University of Georgia with a major in Japanese Language and Culture and minored in Management Information Systems.
Milton Jones | Sr. Front-End Engineer
Milton has over 20 years expreience working within the information technology industry. Milton has over 10 years experience developing and quality assuring Web applications. Milton has a keen interest in all things technology from Web development to information technology which has served him well over his career. Milton specializes in VB.NET, SQL, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, PHP and JSP.
Prior to joining 1/0, Milton was the Director of Design Technology at MRM Partners for 6 years, a subsidiary of McCann-Erickson WorldGroup. At MRM, he helped develop sites for Coca-Cola, Wendy's, Maybelline, Johnson & Johnson, Black & Decker, Hallmark, and Microsoft among many others.
Milton received an MS in Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science from Polytechnic Institute of Technology.
Milton was born, raised and continues to make his home in New York City.
John Lomma | Developer
Previously, John was a Web Developer at EDGAR Online, Inc. where he implemented content management systems, front-end and back-end .Net solutions, and analytics and customer relationship management solutions for EDGAR Online's products and corporate websites. John worked closely with the Executive team, the marketing department and the Director of Analytics to implement powerful and flexible solutions to meet the company's data intensive needs. Prior to Edgar Online, John was an Assistant Editor at New Screen Concepts where he did post-production work for ABC Television's 'Extreme Makeover'.
John's experience includes .Net 3.5, C#, LINQ, XML, XSLT, SQL Server, Flash, Actionscript, Avid Media Composer, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, XHTML and CSS.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.
Greg Land | Director of Information Technology
Greg joined 1/0 Technology as Director of Information Technology and is responsible for managing 1/0 Tech's network and data center.
Prior to joining 1/0 Technology, Greg was the Director of Information Technology for Aerwav Integration Services. Greg was responsible for the security company's computer security which was critical to protect the data as well as the company reputation.
Previously a Senior Unix Administrator at Yahoo!/HotJobs, his responsibilities included the daily maintenance and administration of 30 Web servers and several different database architectures. One of his tasks was to analyze millions of hits per day and report to management how certain business decisions affected traffic. Greg has also consulted for NextGen and Finlay, Inc.
Greg studied Computer Science at Northeastern University at Boston, MA and holds Solaris 7 Systems Administration certification.
Greg Lehman | Project Manager
Greg Lehman brings a wide range of business and technical experience to the 1/0 team. Greg began his professional career as a municipal bond trader for a major international investment band/brokerage. Greg's career includes turns as Computer Systems trainer, Systems Integration salesman, Sales and Marketing consultant and trainer and Special Events producer.
Greg pursued graduate studies in Political Science and returned to Wall Street as Director of Conferences for two daily trade papers covering the bond markets. Greg subsequently became an Investor Relations consultant to several top international and domestic companies where he worked directly with top managements.
Greg left Wall Street to make a documentary film about the National Oldtime Fiddlers' Contest® and Festival, held in Weiser, Idaho. Greg holds a B.A. in Economics from Columbia University.
